We're partnering with a leading international professional services firm to appoint its first Head of Data - a newly created leadership role with the opportunity to build an enterprise-wide data function from the ground up.

This isn't a hands-on technical position. It's a strategic leadership role for someone who can define a vision, influence senior stakeholders, and establish the people, governance, processes and technology that will enable the business to become truly data-driven.

Reporting to the Chief Innovation Officer, you'll create the organisation's first data strategy, helping unlock value from a wealth of existing business data while laying the foundations for analytics, AI and machine learning. You'll work closely with Executive leadership to identify high-impact opportunities across areas such as pricing, resource allocation, knowledge management and client-facing products, ensuring data becomes a core driver of business performance and innovation.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
