Enterprise Data Product Leadership (Strategic Operations Manager – Data Domain)

We are looking for a Strategic Operations Manager (SOM) – Data Domain to lead enterprise data strategy, cross-domain alignment, and stakeholder engagement.
About the Role
The Strategic Operations Manager – Data Domain plays a pivotal role in shaping and governing the end-to-end lifecycle of Data Products across the enterprise. This position ensures alignment with business priorities, drives adoption, and maximises value delivery while streamlining collaboration between business, Data, and IT.
Key Responsibilities
Enterprise Data Product Leadership
- Own the enterprise view of Data Products, ensuring consistency in:
- Standards, governance, and quality
- Lifecycle management (definition → build → adoption → retirement)
- Ensure Data Products meet defined characteristics:
- Trusted
- Consumable
- Governed
- Valuable
- Drive adoption and value realisation across business domains
- Align Data Product strategy with enterprise priorities and outcomes

Cross-Domain Orchestration
- Act as the "glue" across domain-owned Data Products, ensuring:
- Alignment across Underwriting, Claims, Finance, etc.
- Consistent prioritisation and sequencing across domains
- Management of interdependencies between products and domains
- Collaborate with key stakeholders, including:
- Data Domain Owners (DDOs) & Business Data Stewards (BDS)
- Other Strategic Operations Managers
- IT delivery teams
- Wider Data Office
Strategic Ops Manager (SOM) – Data Domain
- Act as the central intake point for data-related demand into IT, structuring initiatives into a coherent, value-led portfolio
- Own and govern the Data roadmap, aligning it with:
- Business priorities
- Enterprise strategy
- Defined OKRs (Objectives and Key Results)
- Define priorities, outcomes, and success measures for initiatives, ensuring:
- Clarity of ownership and accountability
- Partner with Product Owners and delivery teams to:
- Agree sequencing
- Manage dependencies
- Ensure delivery aligns with priorities and outcomes
- Balance demand, prioritisation, and capacity to optimise value delivery
- Lead forums for:
- Prioritisation
- Decision-making
- Progress tracking across Data initiatives

Stakeholder Leadership
- Serve as the primary interface between business, Data, and IT, ensuring:
- Clear communication
- Alignment
- Engagement across stakeholders
- Engage with senior stakeholders to:
- Shape demand
- Challenge priorities
- Drive accountability for outcomes
- Represent Data Product priorities in governance forums, including:
- Executive discussions
- SteerCo-level meetings
- Build strong cross-functional relationships to foster collaboration and alignment
