Job Overview
Moorfields Private is the private patient division of Moorfields Eye Hospital NHS Foundation Trust, one of the largest NHS Private Patient Units in the country and the largest single-site private ophthalmology provider in the UK by revenue and volume, delivering the full spectrum of eye care across our two London sites.
We are looking for a Head of Delivery to join our Senior Leadership Team and lead the day-to-day operational delivery of Moorfields Private across Moorfields Private Outpatient Centre (City Road) and Moorfields Private Eye Centre (New Cavendish Street). Reporting to the Director of Private Care, you will be accountable for the performance, governance, workforce and budget of the delivery function, with the Head of Nursing and operational functions reporting into your portfolio.
This is a pivotal time to join us. Moorfields Private has just signed off an ambitious three-year strategy to grow volume and profit. You will play a leading role in delivering this agenda, including growing theatre, laser, outpatient and ward revenues, developing more flexible workforce models, and supporting the organisation through its planned move to a brand-new hospital site at Oriel.
Main duties of the job
We are looking for an experienced senior operational leader with a track record of managing complex private healthcare delivery, cross-site services, substantial change management experience, and the ability to operate in a commercially focused environment. You will be a strategic and analytical thinker who is comfortable with ambiguity and able to build strong relationships with consultants, clinicians and corporate teams alike.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
