Head of Delivery (Consulting)
Location: North West (Hybrid) Salary: c£95k + Bonus + Benefits
Some Consulting leaders are brilliant at talking about delivery. Others are the reason it actually happens.
We're working with a growing transformation consultancy that's looking for a Head of Delivery to become a key part of its leadership team. This is a business-critical hire and one of their highest priorities as they continue to grow. It's a hands-on leadership role for someone who enjoys leading complex client programmes, supporting consulting teams, and helping build a business that's growing quickly.
You'll work with some of the UK’s largest organisations, helping them deliver complex business and technology transformation. Whether it's shaping operating models, standing up transformation offices, delivering digital change, or leading enterprise-wide transformation programmes, you'll be at the heart of work that has a genuine impact. If you're happiest bringing structure to complexity, solving problems, and getting stuck in when it matters, this could be exactly what you're looking for.
The Role
You'll work closely with senior leadership, taking ownership of delivery across a portfolio of Consulting engagements while helping shape how the business operates behind the scenes.
This isn’t a role where you’ll sit on the sidelines reviewing status reports. You’ll be leading major client programmes, coaching teams, improving delivery processes, and helping the Consultancy continue to scale. Some days you’ll be working with senior client stakeholders, others you’ll be refining internal ways of working or supporting wider business initiatives. No two weeks will look the same, and that's exactly what makes the role interesting.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
