Head of Demand Planning

We're looking for a Head of Demand Planning to build the forecasting, inventory and planning engine that sits at the heart of Yoto's supply chain. We're a fast-growing consumer electronics business that makes products families love, sold at high volume across D2C and wholesale channels globally. Demand planning is a new discipline that needs a builder to define the process, select the technology, and set the standard.

About Yoto

Yoto is a screen-free interactive audio platform for kids. We make carefully connected audio players that kids control, with no microphones, cameras or ads. We have a catalogue of audio that inspires creative play and learning with 1,000+ titles in our card store from top creators, publishers and labels - think Disney, Marvel, Roald Dahl and Universal Music. We also create Yoto Originals like BrainBots.

Voted the 14th fastest-growing private software technology company in Britain in The Sunday Times 100 Tech 2025; and named the 94th fastest-growing company in Europe in the prestigious FT1000.

Ranked 9th in Fast Company's Most Innovative Companies in 2024; and featured in the Sifted 100 fastest-growing startups across the UK&I by revenue growth.

Featured in Bloomberg’s 25 UK startups to watch in 2023; and ranked second fastest growing tech company in the UK in the Deloitte Fast50.

Named one of TIME Magazine’s Top 100 Inventions of 2020.

We’re over 200 employees spread across the world... and growing!

We’re on a mission to be the soundtrack of childhood, and help families on their own unique adventures. By creating products that inspire independent play, we help families discover and grow with an inspiring world of audio - and we would like you to help us achieve it!

Yoto’s Supply Chain

Supply chain sits within the CFO's remit at Yoto, structured across:

  • Manufacturing & Supply
  • Logistics & Fulfilment
  • Demand Planning (the newest)

You'll work closely with the teams and senior peers across all three, as well as with Finance. It's a lean, senior function by design; the expectation is that technology can augment the teams who can focus on key decisions and strategy.

We have strong execution capability across manufacturing and logistics but we need to bring in the connective tissue between what the business is planning to sell and what we need to build, move and hold.

What you’ll be doing:

  • Own the demand plan end-to-end - statistical and commercial forecasting across all SKUs, channels and geographies, with accuracy measurement and a continuous improvement cycle
  • Lead the S&OP process - running the consensus forecasting cycle and holding the business to a plan, including aligning with growth teams
  • Own inventory strategy - safety stock, reorder points, replenishment parameters, inventory positioning across 3PLs, and markdown and obsolescence risk
  • Interface with the growth team to translate sales pipeline into operational inputs, including allocation logic when supply is constrained
  • Work closely with colleagues in Strategic Finance to ensure the demand plan and the financial plan are aligned
  • Own the demand planning tech stack - from tool selection through to implementation and adoption, driving automation of routine planning tasks over time
  • Partner with the Manufacturing & Supply team on lead times, PO release cadence and supply risk - flagging problems early, not absorbing surprises late
  • Build toward an AI-assisted planning function that tackles the routine tasks with exception escalated to have human oversight.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

  • Consumer products or consumer electronics background - ideally with both D2C and wholesale experience

  • Commercially sharp - you read P&L impact, understand margin, and communicate effectively with Finance and Growth teams
  • Confident challenging commercial forecasts when the data says otherwise - able to do so constructively and with evidence
  • A bias towards automation - consistently looking for ways to reduce manual processes and build scalable solutions
