HEAD OF DIGITAL
£60,000–£70,000 OTE, DOE | Hybrid working (2 days remote)
Senior leadership opportunity — full ownership of the digital function, shaping strategy, building capability, driving commercial performance and influencing growth.

A fast-growing, full-service media agency delivering impactful campaigns through bold ideas, strategy, and insight-driven marketing.
Their client roster includes ambitious brands across media planning/buying, content creation, digital marketing and performance strategy, specialising in:

- Delivering measurable results
On the verge of expansion, they’re now hiring a Head of Digital to lead their digital evolution. A senior role offering full ownership to shape the function, Board-level influence, and growth-enabling leadership.

- Drive digital strategy and team culture
- Own performance, commercial results and cross-client influence
- Hybrid challenge: Direct impact on plans, forecasting, client delivery while representing senior leadership at Board-level.

Key Responsibilities:
Strategy & Leadership
- Set and translate digital strategy into an actionable team plan
- Define team structure, culture, and decisions on performance vs. adaptation
- Raise standards across tools, processes, and excellence frameworks
- Pioneer future-forward approaches improving client ROI and margins
Client & Commercial
- Embed client objectives into measurable digital campaigns
- Lead client relationships (direct brief alignment, profitability discussions, commercial negotiation)
- Maintain margin visibility beyond topline revenue (per-account P&L management)
- Steer new business, covering pitch strategy, proposal strategy, deal closing, and board briefings
Team Development
- Develop high-performing specialists in paid media, SEO & analytics, while owning career evolution
- Build culturally cohesive, adaptive teams
- Collaborate across SEO, creative/e-commerce and client services, fostering agency-wide integration
Delivery & Performance
- Accept accountability for planning, execution, and reporting excellence
- Proactively flag criticisms and inefficiencies, before they emerge client-worthy
- Optimise tools, workflows, and processes that deliver sustainable delivery/financial results

Essential Skills & Experience:
✅ Senior leadership in digital marketing ✅ Ownership or management of P&L, forecast, or commercial growth metrics ✅ In-depth expertise across paid media and SEO, with directional understanding of analytics & e-commerce ✅ Proven track record in scaling, retaining and high-performing digital teams ✅ B2C-focused experience, with cross-sector flexibility ✅ Financial acumen (P&L analysis, margin defence, and investment justification) ✅ Prudent communicator, comfortable with high-level stakeholders, clients, pitches ✅ Experience in hybrid/remote team management
Hypothetical (Nice-to-Have)
👉 Media agency functional knowledge 👉 Deep-response approach in edge-disciplines (e-commerce, analytics)
