The Role
The Head of Digital leads BSQ Group's digital infrastructure, website performance, and data intelligence. This is a technically-grounded leadership role responsible for ensuring our growing portfolio of websites - currently four, scaling to six - are optimised for performance, conversion, and user experience.
Sitting alongside the Head of Marketing, this role provides the analytical and technical backbone of our digital operations. The ideal candidate will understand how marketing and digital interact, can translate data into actionable insight, and is experienced in leading SEO, analytics, and digital product delivery. Website experience is non-negotiable.
Key Responsibilities
- Website Ownership & Performance
- Take overall accountability for the performance, reliability, and growth of BSQ Group's website portfolio
- Ensure all websites are optimised for speed, UX, accessibility, and conversion across desktop and mobile
- Manage the expansion from 4 to 6 websites, including planning, delivery, and ongoing performance management
- Own design and front-end delivery in collaboration with shared designers and developers

SEO Leadership
- Lead the SEO Director and Technical SEO Specialist to deliver measurable organic growth
- Set the technical SEO roadmap including site architecture, crawlability, indexation, and schema
- Ensure alignment between technical SEO and the content strategy led by the Head of Marketing
- Stay ahead of algorithm changes and search landscape shifts, adapting strategy accordingly

Conversion Rate Optimisation (CRO)
- Own the CRO programme across all websites — hypothesis generation, A/B testing, and implementation
- Work closely with designers, developers, and the data team to build and prioritise a testing roadmap
- Drive improvements in on-site conversion metrics and funnel efficiency

Data, Analytics & Insight
- Own the analytics infrastructure — ensuring accurate, reliable tracking across all digital properties
- Build dashboards and reporting frameworks that give the business a clear view of performance
- Partner with the Head of Marketing to create a joined-up view of the full customer acquisition journey
- Translate complex data into clear commercial insight for senior stakeholders

Tech Stack & Tools
- Own and evolve the digital tools and technology stack, ensuring it supports business growth
- Identify, evaluate, and implement platforms and tooling to improve operational efficiency and performance
- Maintain governance and documentation of systems, integrations, and data flows

Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Work with the design and development teams.
- Work closely with the product team to ensure clear boundaries and effective handoffs between digital and product
- Contribute to ecommerce strategy and growth planning at a senior level

What We Are Looking For
- Significant hands-on experience in a digital, ecommerce, or growth-focused environment
- Proven website ownership experience - understanding of UX, front-end delivery, and website performance at depth
- Strong SEO knowledge - able to lead and challenge both strategic and technical SEO specialists
- Experience owning or leading CRO programmes with demonstrable results
- Highly data-literate: experienced with analytics platforms (GA4, Looker Studio, or similar) and attribution modelling
- Ecommerce background - understands transactional funnels, on-site conversion, and digital acquisition
- Experience managing or working alongside designers and front-end developers
- Ability to manage multiple websites or digital properties concurrently
- Marketing literacy - understands content, paid media, and affiliate well enough to collaborate effectively with the Head of Marketing
- Experience with technical integrations, APIs, or web development fundamentals
- Familiarity with company formation, legal services, fintech, or similar regulated/niche verticals
