Head of Digital Marketing - 12-month Maternity Cover

I'm working with a well-established premium fashion retailer with a strong UK and international presence, who are looking for a Head of Digital Marketing to join them on a 12-month maternity cover contract. This is a brilliant opportunity for a commercially sharp, performance-led marketing leader to step into a senior, highly visible role at real pace.

About the Role

You'll lead and evolve the marketing strategy across key international markets, with a strong emphasis on digital performance, customer acquisition and measurable commercial impact. You'll work closely with senior leadership, agency partners and cross-functional teams; including finance, trading, ecommerce and creative, to drive integrated, digital-first campaigns and continuously optimise performance across the marketing function.

Given the maternity cover timeline, this client is moving quickly and needs someone who can hit the ground running - so immediate or very short notice availability is essential!

Key Responsibilities

  • Own and evolve the digital-first marketing strategy, ensuring all activity supports commercial and brand growth across the UK and international markets
  • Lead, manage and develop a team spanning digital marketing, social & influencer, PR and partner marketing
  • Drive ongoing performance optimisation, using data, channel insight and campaign results to guide media investment and unlock growth
  • Own key agency relationships, holding partners to account on strategic alignment, delivery and measurable impact
  • Direct the management of marketing investment, including forecasting, planning and budget reallocation to maximise ROI
  • Partner closely with finance, trading, ecommerce and creative teams to keep marketing activity aligned to commercial priorities
  • Report performance and growth opportunities to senior leadership, bringing fresh thinking on tools and ways of working

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
