An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Head of Digital Services to lead the digital strategy of an innovative engineering business developing next-generation technology solutions.

This is a unique leadership role combining software engineering, cloud architecture, AI innovation and IT infrastructure. You'll be responsible for developing customer-facing digital products, implementing AI-driven internal tools and ensuring the business has a secure, scalable and high-performing digital ecosystem.

Working closely with senior leadership and engineering teams, you'll play a key role in shaping the company's digital future while remaining close to the technology.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the company's digital services strategy and technology roadmap.
  • Develop and scale customer-facing software platforms.
  • Design and implement AI-powered internal applications and automation tools.
  • Manage the company's cloud infrastructure, DevOps and deployment pipelines.
  • Take ownership of IT infrastructure, hardware and digital services.
  • Ensure security, scalability and reliability across all digital platforms.
  • Collaborate with engineering teams to deliver innovative technology solutions.

The successful candidate will have:

  • Proven experience leading Digital Services, Software Engineering or Technology teams.
  • Strong experience developing customer-facing software applications.
  • Expert knowledge of Google Cloud Platform (GCP) and good working knowledge of AWS.
  • Strong programming skills in Python, Java and JavaScript.
  • Experience with Kubernetes, Terraform, GitHub and CI/CD pipelines.
  • Experience developing AI-powered applications, agents or automation solutions.
  • A strong understanding of cloud architecture, infrastructure and security.
  • Experience managing both software development and IT infrastructure.
  • Excellent leadership, communication and problem-solving skills.
  • Experience within automotive, IoT, logistics or other fast-paced engineering environments.
