Head of Digital Underwriting

Join us as Head of Digital Underwriting and help transform how we deliver and scale underwriting at Aon! This is a hybrid role with the flexibility to work both virtually and from our London office.

Key Responsibilities
- Lead and deliver the digital underwriting strategy for Aon Underwriting Managers (AUM), aligning technology, data, and AI with business growth objectives
- Represent AUM in the development and roll-out of Aon’s Digital Placement Exchange (DPX) and wider placement platforms
- Transform underwriting processes through digital solutions, data-driven decision-making, and algorithmic underwriting capabilities
- Drive innovation and continuous improvement, identifying emerging technologies that enhance performance, efficiency, and partner experience
- Act as a visible change leader, embedding digital thinking and fostering adoption across underwriting teams
- Engage and influence senior stakeholders across Aon and carrier partners, aligning digital initiatives with commercial objectives and delivering measurable business value
- Serve on the AUM Executive Committee, helping shape the future operating model and digital agenda of the business

Essential Requirements
Proven underwriting or delegated authority leader with:
- Strong experience of digital transformation and technology-enabled change
- Knowledge of London Market dynamics, underwriting operations, and delegated authority frameworks
- Strategic problem-solving ability with a track record of:
- Delivering business change through collaboration and stakeholder engagement
- Excellent communication and influencing skills
- Ability to build credibility across underwriting, technology, and commercial teams
- Comfortability translating complex technical concepts into practical business opportunities
- Passion for innovation, with the ability to:
- Inspire others
- Champion new ways of working
