Head of Marketing & E-commerce
Location: Embassy of Beauty · Kensington Church Street, London · On-site Role: Own the marketing and e-commerce P&L for a luxury beauty brand scaling across two markets. You’ll lead a successful UK business while building it in the US, driving revenue with real commercial ownership of budget, P&L, and teams, reporting directly to the founders.
The Opportunity
Embassy of Beauty is at a pivotal growth phase. Having established itself as a destination boutique on Kensington Church Street and a thriving UK e-commerce business, it is now expanding into the US. This role will oversee a critical evolution:
- Refine the existing UK strategy
- Launch and build the US market from the ground up
Key Responsibilities
Commercial & P&L Ownership
- Lead marketing and e-commerce P&L, covering revenue, margins, and efficiency in spend.
- Develop and execute cross-market strategies aligned with commercial targets for both UK and US.
- Allocate budgets across channels based on return, not just reach.
Brand & Marketing Leadership
- Oversee brand positioning, messaging, and storytelling across all channels.
- Plan and deliver integrated campaigns spanning:
- Digital & social media
- PR & influencer partnerships
- Ensure brand consistency across every customer touchpoint in both markets.

E-commerce & Digital Growth
- Drive and own e-commerce strategy, performance, and revenue targets.
- Improve website performance, UX/UI, and conversion rates.
- Lead CRM, retention, and lifecycle strategies** as well as loyalty program development.
- Manage online merchandising, product launches, and seasonal promotions.
Performance & Analytics
- Make data-driven decisions across marketing and e-commerce.
- Track and optimise key KPIs:
- ROAS (Return on Ad Spend)
- CAC (Customer Acquisition Cost)
- LTV (Life-Time Value)
- Conversion rate and marketing contribution
- Apply structured testing and optimisation to drive growth.
Leadership & Collaboration
- Head and develop the established UK team, scaling it as US growth demands.
- Manage agency and external partner relationships.
- Work closely with retail, operations, and the founders to align growth strategies with brand vision.
Requirements & Criteria
- 7+ years of experience in marketing and e-commerce leadership, preferably within beauty, luxury, or premium consumer brands.
- Proven track record of scaling e-commerce revenue and brand growth.
- P&L accountability: Experience owning marketing or e-commerce financials, ensuring commercial success.
- Deep expertise in:
- Paid media
- SEO
- CRM & social commerce
- Technical proficiency:
- Shopify (commanding experience)
- Klaviyo (email/SMS automation)
- Advanced analytics tooling (e.g., Google Analytics, Mixpanel, etc.)
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, build-phase environment, balancing strategic clarity and executive capability.
- Sharp commercial and analytical mindset, paired with strong strategic intuition.
- Exceptional stakeholder management skills and experience in recruiting & developing talent.
