About the role

We're looking for a commercially astute, digitally driven Head of eCommerce. You'll be the strategic and operational lead for our global eCommerce function, driving on-site brand experience, revenue and conversion.

This is a pivotal leadership role reporting into the COO, with significant scope to shape the future of how Lounge connects with and converts customers online.

What you will do

Trading & Revenue Growth

  • Own the eCommerce channel, delivering against ambitious targets.
  • Identify and act on opportunities across conversion rate optimisation, AOV, and repeat purchase.
  • Execute promotional and trading calendars in close partnership with Merchandising and Marketing.

Site Experience & Optimisation

  • Own the end to end customer journey on site from discovery to checkout ensuring a best in class UX.
  • Lead a structured on site CRO programme, driving continuous experimentation across all key on-site touch points.
  • Work closely with the Digital Product, UXUI and Tech teams to prioritise the site roadmap and deliver impactful improvements.
  • Ensure all site content, imagery, and merchandising standards uphold the Lounge brand aesthetic.

Data, Insight & Reporting

  • Build a performance reporting framework that gives the business clear visibility on all key eCommerce KPIs.
  • Champion a brand led culture, whilst translating data analytics into actionable insight for stakeholders at all levels.
  • Partner with the product tech team to continuously improve operational efficiency, site health and effectiveness.

Technology & Platform

  • Manage the relationship with key eCommerce technology vendors and platforms (Shopify).
  • Evaluate and implement best in class tools across merchandising, personalisation, search, and checkout that suit the brand and bring back genuine value.

Leadership & Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Lead, mentor, and grow a high-performing eCommerce team across trading, UX, and operations.
  • Act as the eCommerce voice in senior leadership discussions, clearly articulating vision, strategy and performance.
  • Build strong working relationships across Marketing, Creative, Merchandising, Logistics, and Customer Experience.
  • Champion the customer perspective, live in the shoes of a user at all times when adding insight.

What we are looking for

Essential Experience

  • Proven track record in a senior eCommerce leadership role, ideally within a high-growth DTC or fashion brand.
  • Deep understanding of online trading, digital merchandising, and conversion optimisation.
  • Strong commercial acumen with experience owning eCommerce function.
  • Deep understanding and experience managing Shopify Plus and the Shopify ecosystem.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead and develop multidisciplinary teams.
  • Experience working across multiple markets and territories.

  • Customer obsessed, with a genuine understanding of what drives online buying behaviour.
  • Excellent communicator who can engage, influence, and inspire across all levels of the business.
  • Agile and resilient. Able to thrive in a fast-paced, ever-changing environment.
  • Passionate about brand and committed to maintaining Lounge's distinctive aesthetic and voice online.
