Futureheads have partnered with a fast-growing, much-loved gifting brand to find a Head of Ecommerce. In a category all about bringing joy and togetherness, this business blends a warm, feel-good brand with serious commercial ambition. As they continue to evolve, ecommerce sits at the core of acquiring customers, driving retention, and scaling online, with this role owning performance end-to-end.
You’ll report into the Head of Marketing and take full accountability for online performance across the Shopify website and marketplaces (Amazon in particular), leading the ecommerce team and collaborating across marketing, brand, and operations to deliver sustainable, profitable growth.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Owning ecommerce revenue, P&L, conversion rate, AOV (Average Order Value), and profitability targets, including:
- Sales forecasting for budgeting, seasonal peaks, and day-to-day procurement
- Overseeing day-to-day trading through the Ecommerce Manager, monitoring performance against forecasts and acting quickly on risks and opportunities
- Taking full ownership of online acquisition (SEO, PPC), setting strategy, targets, and keeping paid and organic channels aligned with commercial goals
- Leading Amazon ecommerce performance (sales, TACOS, profitability), improving:
- PPC spend
- Listings and content optimisation
- Pricing strategies
- Visibility, ranking, and conversion rate through best-in-class marketplace execution
- Ensuring strong in-stock performance across the Amazon range while providing demand forecasts to support stock planning and maintain competition rankings
- Own the end-to-end online customer journey, delivering CRO (Conversion Rate Optimisation) initiatives with design and development, ensuring data and testing drive every decision
- Leading and developing the ecommerce team, providing structure, accountability, and vision for future growth
- Aligning the onsite experience with retention strategies (email, loyalty, lifecycle campaigns) in partnership with Brand and Customer teams

About You

- Proven experience in a ecommerce leadership role, ideally within a Direct-to-Consumer (DTC) or retail business
- Strong commercial mindset with a track record of owning revenue and profitability targets
- Deep technical knowledge of ecommerce metrics (conversion rate, AOV, CAC [Customer Acquisition Cost], LTV [Lifetime Value]) and translating insights into action
- Strong Amazon marketplace experience, including organic and paid performance drivers
- Comfortable working at both strategic and hands-on levels, with leadership and stakeholder management skills
- Bonus if you have experience in:
- Seasonal/peak-driven ecommerce
- Gifting or luxury brands
- Shopify optimization
- D2C (Direct-To-Consumer), D2B (Direct-To-Business), or international sales
