The role

We’re hiring a Head of Engineering to lead an AI-first engineering (currently 13 engineers) function and play a key role in shaping and scaling an AI-first SaaS platform at a pivotal growth stage.

This role is designed as a clear pathway into a future CTO position, with a structured 12-month transition plan and close partnership with the CTO/Founder. Over the first 12 months, you’ll work closely with the CTO/Founder to take ownership of engineering delivery, raise standards, and then drive strategy and technical direction. From 12 months onwards, you’ll be positioned to step into the CTO role.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Lead and develop a high-performing engineering team across the UK and Poland, with a focus on coaching, clarity, and delivery excellence

First 6 months (hands-on leadership):

  • Improve delivery practices, team effectiveness, and engineering standards
  • Establish scalable ways of working across a growing, distributed team
  • Support the team in delivering high-quality product outcomes, balancing speed and quality

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
