Head of Engineering (Data Platform / SaaS)
Salary: Up to £150,000 Location: Fully Remote (UK)
This is a fantastic opportunity to join a scaling SaaS organisation where you can take full ownership of a proven data platform and lead its next phase of growth.
About the Company
This client delivers professional services into the real estate sector. They have created a modern SaaS platform built on Microsoft Fabric, enabling real estate businesses to extract, transform, and utilise data from different systems.
The Role
You will take ownership of the data platform and engineering function, leading a growing team while shaping product direction alongside the Founder & CEO. Key responsibilities include:

- Leading and developing a team of ~8 engineers, with further growth planned
- Creating structure, accountability, and high engineering standards
- Collaborating closely with the Founder on product roadmap and platform strategy
- Bridging engineering, product, and commercial priorities across the business
- Acting as a hands-on technical leader (without being purely coding-focused)
- Building strong relationships with internal stakeholders and external clients
- Scaling both the engineering function and the platform to support significant customer growth
Requirements
You will bring strong capability in:

- Leading and scaling software engineering teams
- A background in Software Engineering or Data Engineering
- Experience working within SaaS product environments
- Driving engineering excellence, team performance, and delivery standards
- Working closely with Product or owning elements of product delivery
- Strong stakeholder management and leadership skills
- Technical credibility across modern cloud/data platforms
