Head of Engineering, Full Stack | AI Start-Up, Legal | 3 Days PW In London Office | Up to £200,000 + Benefits and Equity
We have partnered with an exciting, venture-backed AI start-up at the forefront of innovation in the legal space. For too long, the legal system has been broken, it is too slow, expensive, and leaves consumers at the mercy of legal entities that have become masters at making things too confusing for the average person to understand.
This company is looking to change that. Led by an experienced founder with an impressive track record of building tech start-ups, this business is already generating £6,000,000 ARR in less than 6 months.
Having built the bare bones of their product with a core team of 4 engineers, they are now looking for a Head of Engineering. Initially, you will work as a hands-on technical leader, crafting technical solutions and working alongside the team to ship and deliver products quickly to customers.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
