Head of Event (EMEA)

Head of Event – SailGP Championship

The Rolex SailGP Championship is the most thrilling racing spectacle on water, characterised by adrenaline-fuelled battles between national teams in iconic stadium venues across the globe. High-performance athletes race identical F50 catamarans at speeds exceeding 60 mph. Founded in 2018, SailGP is one of the world’s fastest-growing sports entities, now entering its fifth season with a commitment to promoting global inclusivity and clean energy innovation.

SailGP champions a future powered by nature, pioneering climate-positive practices since 2020. Its values guide its culture: deliver quality, break boundaries, make an impact, stand together, and strike a balance.

About the Role

We are seeking a Head of Event to oversee the complete planning, execution, and delivery of up to two SailGP events annually within host cities. You will manage the entire event lifecycle, collaborating cross-functionally across global and local teams to deliver an outstanding sporting experience—balancing operational excellence, commercial success, and stakeholder satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities

Project Management

  • Lead end-to-end project management, ensuring alignment with the One Event Plan (OEP) framework, event stage gates, and timelines.
  • Utilise governance tools from the Event Readiness team to maintain compliance and accountability.
  • Facilitate clear communication across teams and stakeholders, aligning cross-departmental efforts for seamless delivery.
  • Establish a high-frequency reporting rhythm, providing transparent updates on milestones, risks, and operational readiness via the Championship Dashboard.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
