Head of Events
Head of Events (Midlands Portfolio) Department: Operations Location: West Midlands Compensation: £40,000 – £45,000 per year
About the Role
As KERB expands its presence in the Midlands, we are seeking a Head of Events to oversee our strategic venues: Aston Villa FC, Leicester Tigers, and NEC Birmingham.
This is a senior, strategic role focused on portfolio oversight, client relationship management and business growth. You will collaborate with Venue Operations Managers and Coordinators to ensure exceptional event execution while identifying new growth opportunities in the region.
As the key point of contact for venue partners and corporate clients, you will:
- Strengthen existing relationships.
- Drive new business revenue through scaling partnerships and innovative hospitality solutions.
We are looking for an experienced leader with a strong commercial mindset, excellent stakeholder management skills, and a passion for the food and hospitality industry.
Responsibilities
- Lead KERB’s Midlands portfolio—acting as the primary representative for venues, clients, and partners.
- Own venue P&Ls, budgets, and commercial performance, ensuring revenue and profitability align with targets.
- Build and maintain high-performing client and venue relationships, delivering satisfaction, retention, and growth.
- Support and develop operations managers to ensure exceptional event execution and guest experiences.
- Identify and secure new opportunities—expanding venue partnerships, client accounts, and regional growth.
- Collaborate with Commercial and Operations teams to maximise revenue and operational efficiency.
- Ensure consistent quality, compliance, and operational excellence across all venues.
- Drive continuous improvement in event delivery, trader experiences, and operational processes.
- Lead, coach, and inspire teams, fostering a high-performance and inclusive culture.
- Set and monitor KPIs, reporting regional performance to support strategic business objectives.

Requirements
Essential:
- Proven experience in senior operations, account management, or business development roles within hospitality, events, or food & drink.
- Strong commercial awareness, including budget management and revenue growth strategies.
- Experience managing multiple sites, venues, or client accounts.
- Exceptional relationship-building skills, with the ability to influence and engage diverse stakeholders.
- A strategic mindset with strong decision-making and problem-solving capabilities.
- Proven leadership experience and a passion for developing high-performing teams.
- Outstanding communication, presentation, and negotiation skills.
- Hands-on understanding of event operations, food & beverage environments.
- Willingness to travel frequently across the Midlands and support events as required.

Desirable (but not essential):
- Experience with independent food traders, street food markets, or similar concepts.
- Familiarity with stadia, exhibitions, or large-scale live event operations.
- Knowledge of EPOS systems, particularly Good Till.
