The Role

As Head of Events/Projects, you will take strategic ownership of key client accounts and projects, leading a team to deliver exceptional work across a diverse and prestigious portfolio. This position sits at the intersection of:

  • Creative & technical production
  • Commercial management
  • People leadership

You’ll report directly to the Director of Events, assuming a pivotal role in shaping the future of the production department.

Responsibilities

  • Leading end-to-end delivery of complex, large-scale event productions
  • Translating client briefs into creative and commercial responses
  • Managing budgets, reconciliations, revenue reporting, and conversion metrics
  • Building and developing long-term client relationships and strategic account plans
  • Mentoring, coaching, and line-managing a talented team of project managers
  • Leading new business pitches, interrogating briefs, crafting proposals, and guiding pitch teams
  • Championing health & safety, process governance, and sustainability commitments
  • Collaborating across departments, including Design, Technical, Scenic, Warehouse, and Logistics

Requirements

  • 6+ years of experience in the events industry in a senior technical production or project management capacity
  • Extensive, demonstrable knowledge of the London venue market (candidates without this experience will not be considered)
  • Familiarity with UVL venues is a significant advantage
  • A confident, calm leader who inspires and builds trust
  • Commercially astute, with strong budget management experience
  • Proven experience in managing and developing client accounts at a senior level
  • A natural line manager who prioritises their team’s growth and wellbeing
  • Excellent communication, highly organised, and obsessive about detail
  • Passionate about delivering exceptional events and fostering a brilliant employee experience
