Sefton Sixth Form College is seeking a Head of Faculty: Mathematics, Sciences & Health to lead a diverse and high-profile curriculum area, driving excellence in teaching, learning and student achievement.
This is a fantastic opportunity to shape the educational experience of hundreds of young people while leading and developing talented teaching staff within a thriving sixth form environment. You'll play a pivotal role in setting standards, driving continuous improvement and ensuring students achieve their full potential.

You will:
- Lead and inspire curriculum teams to deliver outstanding teaching, learning and assessment.
- Drive student achievement, progress, attendance and high-grade performance across the faculty.
- Use performance data to identify opportunities for improvement and implement effective strategies for success.
- Champion quality assurance and continuous improvement activities.
- Develop and support staff, creating an environment where colleagues feel valued, challenged and empowered to excel.
- Build strong partnerships that enhance the student experience and enrich learning opportunities.
About You
We are looking for a confident and credible educational leader who can motivate others and deliver measurable impact.
You will bring:
- A degree and recognised teaching qualification.
- Proven experience of leading curriculum quality improvement.
- A track record of raising standards and improving performance.
- Strong understanding of achievement, progress measures and value-added performance.
- Experience of managing and developing staff to achieve ambitious goals.
- Excellent communication, coaching and leadership skills.
- A passion for student success and an unwavering commitment to educational excellence.
