With its leading-edge technology, this highly innovative business now requires an experienced Head of Field Operations, who will be responsible for the strategic planning, development and optimisation of end to end site operations and service delivery.
There will be an element of agile / flexible working with this role.
The Role:
Reporting to the UK MD for the business, as the Head of Field Operations, you will be required to ensure project milestones are met, resources maximised and potential delays are mitigated. In addition, you will also be responsible for, but not limited to:
- Developing and implementing operational strategies, policies and procedures to streamline processes, improve efficiency and achieve business objectives
- Providing leadership and direction to site teams and internal scheduling teams and supervisors, ensuring alignment with organisational goals and priorities
- Overseeing day-to-day operations including production planning, inventory management, procurement and distribution
- Monitoring KPIs, metrics and operational benchmarks to assess performance, identify areas for improvement, and drive operational excellence
- Leading cross-functional teams to develop and implement process improvements, cost-saving initiatives and quality enhancement programs
- Ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements, industry standards and safety regulations in all operational activities whilst identifying risks, vulnerabilities and opportunities in operational processes and developing strategies to mitigate risks
- Building and maintaining relationships with suppliers, vendors and service providers
- Leading change management initiatives and organisational transformation efforts
- Providing regular reports, updates and presentations to senior management and stakeholders

As the Head of Field Operations, you will be required to operate at a strategic level to devise, implement and influence at all levels throughout the business.
The Candidate:
Ideally of graduate standard, candidates for the Head of Field Operations role will also preferably have achieved or be working towards their further qualifications in project management. In addition, candidates for the role will be required to demonstrate that they have:
- Previous work experience in the same or similar field operations / project management position
- Technical proficiency for example using scheduling tools and engagement with CRM or MRP systems
- Previous experience of working on a multi site or regional operations basis
- Proven stakeholder management abilities
- Computer literacy, with an understanding of computer software and hardware
- A good understanding of electrical wiring and equipment as well as networking and routing
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to be flexible in a challenging environment
- The capability to be a hands-on type individual, who demonstrates initiative and has a positive and professional outlook
- The ability to work effectively both within a team but also under their own initiative, demonstrating that they are an organised and capable individual, who is used to multi-tasking and can prioritise their workload in order to meet exacting deadlines
- The ability to be analytical, strategic and results driven with a strong commitment to success and excellence
- The capacity to be a strong, capable leader, with the presence to motivate and influence across all levels of the business

Candidates for the Head of Field Operations role should note that there will be travel with this role and are required to hold a valid UK drivers licence and passport, as well as a CSCS/ ECS Gold Card for site visits with teams.
