Head of Finance
A prestigious financial services business has engaged Chilworth Partnership to support them in the appointment of a Head of Finance.
Reporting to the Finance Director, the successful applicant will prepare, control, and report on the financial performance of the group, to include the preparation of consolidated monthly reporting, annual budgets, and financial targets to be included in strategic business plans.
Head of Finance: Key Responsibilities
- Provide strategic leadership and oversight of the Finance function, ensuring high-quality service delivery and effective resource management.
- Lead, develop, and support the Finance leadership team, fostering a high-performance culture and ensuring effective workload management.
- Drive continuous improvement through process optimisation, systems enhancements, automation, and finance transformation initiatives.
- Support budgeting, financial performance, and profitability through commercial insight, cost control, and performance monitoring.
- Provide technical accounting leadership, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements, governance standards, and best practice.
- Maintain robust financial controls, risk management, and audit readiness across the Finance function.
- Partner with senior leadership to shape the future direction of the Finance function and support wider business growth and strategic initiatives.

- ACA, ACCA or CIMA qualification.
- Extensive technical accounting knowledge.
- Minimum of 5 years experience in a senior management position.
- Experience within Financial Services.
- Strong data / software skills.
