Alexander Daniels are proud to have partnered with a growing and ambitious multi-site organisation who are seeking a technically-strong Head of Finance to join the leadership team during an exciting period of expansion.
This is an exciting opportunity for a qualified finance professional who wants to play a pivotal role in shaping the future of a growing business. The organisation currently operates across multiple locations and has ambitious plans to more than double in size over the coming years.

The Role
Reporting directly to the CFO, you will lead the day-to-day finance function and take ownership of:
- Monthly management accounts and financial reporting
- Budgeting, forecasting and cash flow management
- Financial controls and governance
- Team leadership and development
- Month-end and year-end processes
- Business partnering with operational stakeholders
- Process improvement and finance transformation initiatives
- Supporting growth projects and strategic decision-making
- Enhancing systems, reporting and operational efficiency

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
