Head of Finance
FWB is supporting a well-established, private equity-backed Scottish manufacturing business with the appointment of a Head of Finance.

Role Overview
Reporting directly to the Managing Director, the successful candidate will act as the senior finance leader for this evolving business. Initially, the focus is on:
- Delivering robust financial control
- Establishing performance reporting and costing systems
- Driving cashflow management
- Developing commercial insights
- Strengthening the finance function
- Supporting operational performance
However, this position offers a unique progression opportunity—blending traditional financial roles with potential escalation to a Finance Director position as the business and individual grow together.

Key Accountabilities
We are seeking an ambitious, commercially astute finance leader who:
- Thrives in both financial and operational environments
- Is adept at producing precise financial reporting and engaging strategically with leadership
- Partners with operational teams from top to bottom, understanding process efficiencies and ROI opportunities across the entire enterprise
- Values contribution over hierarchy and embraces leadership from the front line
The ideal candidate brings experience in:
- Financial control
- Management and statutory reporting
- Operating in manufacturing or FMCG environments with multi-site operational focus
- Costing, margin analysis, and operational KPI reporting
- Budgeting, forecasting, cashflow and working capital management
- Systems, controls, and process improvement
- Leading and developing the finance team
- Demonstrating ambition and scalability for progression into an executive Finance Director role
