What’s the role? We are looking for a highly strategic and operationally focused Head of Finance Operations to lead and transform our global finance operations function. This is a critical leadership role responsible for scaling and optimizing end-to-end Accounts Payable (AP), Accounts Receivable (AR), and transactional finance operations across a complex, high-growth international organization.

You will oversee a global team of 20+ professionals and lead the design and implementation of best-in-class finance processes, systems, controls, and shared service models. The role will also be responsible for establishing Centers of Excellence (CoEs) across APAC, EMEA, and the Americas to support operational scale, standardization, and continuous improvement.

What will you be doing? Lead global finance operations across Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, billing, cash applications, and transactional finance functions within a fast-paced international environment. Manage, mentor, and develop a distributed team of 20+ finance professionals across APAC, EMEA, and the Americas while driving organizational scalability and operational excellence. Oversee month-end close activities, ensuring accurate accruals, reconciliations, aging reviews, financial controls, and timely reporting in partnership with Controllership and FP&A teams. Drive finance transformation initiatives including automation, process optimization, AI-enabled workflows, and implementation of scalable finance systems integrated with NetSuite. Establish and optimize regional Centers of Excellence while improving service delivery, accountability, governance, and operational efficiency across global finance operations. Design and implement standardized global processes, KPIs, SLAs, governance frameworks, and internal controls to support a publicly listed, high-growth organization. Ensure compliance with SOX controls, audit requirements, accounting standards, tax regulations, and corporate policies while strengthening risk management frameworks. Partner cross-functionally with Finance, Procurement, Legal, Sales Operations, HR, and executive stakeholders to support strategic decision-making, international expansion, and M&A integration activities.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
