Head of Finance
Head of Finance 📍 Bognor Regis, West Sussex (Hybrid) 💰 £70,000 – £80,000 + Bonus 🏭 UK Manufacturing Business
A genuine route to Finance Director in a growing, profitable business. This is a rare opportunity to join a successful UK manufacturing business at a pivotal stage in its growth journey.
With turnover currently at c.£6m and ambitious plans to more than double revenue over the coming years, the business is investing in its leadership team and looking for a commercially minded Head of Finance to help drive the next phase of growth.
Reporting directly to the Managing Director and working closely with shareholders, you'll take ownership of the entire finance function whilst playing a key role in shaping strategy, improving profitability and building the financial infrastructure required to scale.
This is not a role for someone who wants to sit behind a spreadsheet. It's for a finance leader who enjoys being in the business, influencing decisions and helping drive commercial performance.

The Role As Head of Finance, you'll be responsible for leading all aspects of finance whilst acting as a trusted adviser to the senior leadership team.
You'll provide meaningful commercial insight, improve financial visibility and support key business decisions as the company continues to grow.
Key responsibilities include: Full ownership of monthly management accounts and reporting Delivering meaningful financial analysis and commercial insight Developing profitability reporting across products and projects Manufacturing cost analysis, BOM valuation and margin reporting Budgeting, forecasting and long-term financial planning Cashflow forecasting and working capital management Strengthening financial controls and governance Supporting strategic decision-making through business partnering Identifying opportunities to improve profitability and operational performance Building scalable reporting processes to support future growth
About You We're looking for a commercially minded finance professional who enjoys operating in a hands-on SME environment.
You may already be operating as a Head of Finance, Financial Controller or Finance Manager, or be ready to step into your first number one role.
You'll bring: ACA, ACCA or CIMA qualification Experience within SME businesses Exposure to manufacturing, stock-led, engineering or distribution environments Strong understanding of costing, margin and operational finance Experience producing management accounts and leading financial reporting Excellent business partnering and stakeholder management skills A proactive approach with the ability to challenge and influence A desire to build, improve and help drive business growth
