Job Overview
We are seeking a proactive, commercially minded, and detail-oriented Head of Finance to lead the finance function and ensure the highest standards of financial control, reporting, and strategic support across the group of companies.
This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced finance professional who thrives in a fast-paced, international environment and drive financial performance, support business growth, and maintain robust financial governance. While experience within the insurance industry is advantageous, it is not essential. We welcome candidates from a range of sectors who bring strong technical expertise, commercial acumen, and a collaborative approach.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage the day-to-day finance function, ensuring efficient and effective financial operations.
- Prepare accurate monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports and management accounts.
- Develop and oversee budgets, forecasts, and cash flow management.
- Ensure compliance with relevant accounting standards, statutory requirements, and tax obligations.
- Manage the year-end audit process and liaise with external auditors, accountants, and tax advisers.
- Maintain and continuously improve financial controls, policies, and procedures.
- Oversee payroll, accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger activities where applicable.
- Manage relationships with banks, external service providers, and key financial stakeholders.
- Lead, mentor, and develop the finance team, fostering a culture of accountability and continuous improvement.

Skills & Experience
- Fully qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA, or equivalent).
- Proven experience in a senior finance leadership role.
- Strong knowledge of financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, and financial controls.
- Experience managing audits and working with external advisers.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and commercial decision-making skills.
- Strong leadership and people management abilities.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to present financial information to both financial and non-financial stakeholders.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and experience with accounting and financial reporting systems.
- Highly organised with exceptional attention to detail.
- Experience within the insurance or financial services sector is beneficial but not required.
