Head of Financial Accounting

Contract: Fixed term contract | 12 months Full-Time

Lead Financial Excellence in a Fast-Growing, Private Equity-Backed Business

We are partnering with a high-growth, multi-entity organisation operating across the UK to appoint a Head of Financial Accounting. This is a confidential opportunity to join an ambitious business undergoing significant transformation and expansion, where finance plays a critical role in supporting strategic growth and operational excellence.

This is a senior leadership position, responsible for leading the financial accounting function across multiple entities and ensuring the delivery of accurate, timely and insightful financial reporting. The successful candidate will drive reporting excellence, strengthen financial controls, lead a talented accounting team, and act as a key member of the wider finance leadership structure.

The Role

Reporting to a senior finance executive, you will have responsibility for financial accounting, month-end close, audit management, statutory compliance, IFRS reporting, payroll accounting, fixed assets and capital expenditure reporting across the UK.

You will also be instrumental in improving processes, enhancing governance, and supporting the continued development of a best-in-class finance function.

Key Responsibilities

Financial Reporting & Control

  • Lead all monthly, quarterly and annual financial reporting activities across multiple entities.
  • Oversee the production of P&L, balance sheet and cashflow reporting.
  • Manage consolidation processes, intercompany reconciliations and reporting controls.
  • Ensure reporting packs are delivered accurately and to agreed deadlines for senior stakeholders.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
