Head of Financial Accounting

We're partnering with a high-growth, PE-backed international business looking for an experienced Head of Financial Accounting to lead the financial accounting, reporting and control function across the Group.

Reporting directly to the CFO, this is a broad leadership role with genuine autonomy. Someone who likes to roll their sleeves up, lead from the front and help drive continuous improvement.

The Role

  • Financial accounting, statutory reporting and Group consolidations across multiple entities.
  • Month-end, quarter-end and year-end close.
  • Technical accounting, external audit and financial governance.
  • Treasury, cash flow management and working capital oversight.
  • Driving improvements across financial controls, systems and processes.
  • Leading, developing and mentoring the Financial Accounting team.
  • Partnering with senior stakeholders across the business and supporting international finance teams.
  • Ensuring compliance with accounting standards and statutory requirements across the Group.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
