Head of Financial Accounting
Central London | Hybrid | £110,000 to £120,000 + Bonus + Benefits
We're partnering with a high-growth, PE-backed international business looking for an experienced Head of Financial Accounting to lead the financial accounting, reporting and control function across the Group.
Reporting directly to the CFO, this is a broad leadership role with genuine autonomy. We're looking for someone who enjoys building high-performing teams, improving processes and making sure the finance function is operating at its best. Someone who likes to roll their sleeves up, lead from the front and help drive continuous improvement.
The Role
You'll lead the Financial Accounting function with responsibility for:
- Financial accounting, statutory reporting and Group consolidations across multiple entities.
- Month-end, quarter-end and year-end close.
- Technical accounting, external audit and financial governance.
- Treasury, cash flow management and working capital oversight.
- Driving improvements across financial controls, systems and processes.
- Leading, developing and mentoring the Financial Accounting team.
- Partnering with senior stakeholders across the business and supporting international finance teams.
- Ensuring compliance with accounting standards and statutory requirements across the Group.

About You
You'll probably be operating as a Head of Financial Accounting, Group Financial Controller, Financial Controller or Head of Group Accounting, looking for a broad leadership role with real ownership.
We're looking for someone with:
- ACA qualified (or equivalent).
- Strong technical accounting experience, including statutory reporting, consolidations and external audit.
- Experience working across multi-entity businesses, ideally with international operations.
- A hands-on leadership style with the confidence to challenge, improve and influence.
- Experience in a fast-paced, PE-backed or high-growth business would be advantageous, but isn't essential.
- Available to start ASAP or on a notice period of no more than one month.
