An exciting opportunity has arisen for a dynamic Head of Group Reporting to join a leading FTSE-listed multi-site retail brand. This high-profile leadership position manages a core group reporting function and drives regular reporting requirements across a multi-entity group structure.

Key Purpose & Responsibilities
The purpose of this role is to lead the Group Finance team, Accounts Payable (AP), and shared service function. You will serve as the principal contact for the:
- Monthly close process
- External reporting
- Group-wide technical accounting queries

Responsibilities
- Line-manage a direct team of four and indirect team of 10
- Complete ownership of the group-wide IFRS consolidation process
- Lead monthly consolidated:
- Income statements
- Balance sheets
- Cash flows
- Direct ownership of the month-end general ledger (GL) close timeline
- Manage and maintain the group chart of accounts
- Drive continual improvement across ERP systems and reporting environments
- Prepare primary financial statements for:
- Half-year reporting
- Year-end reporting
- Provide comprehensive balance sheet and cash flow analysis by entity
- Ensure strict IFRS compliance across all statutory accounts
- Produce:
- Group cash flow forecasts
- Balance sheet forecasts
- Net debt forecasts
- Interest forecasts
- Act as the primary relationship lead for:
- External auditors
- Regulators
- Assess the business impact of upcoming or new accounting standards
- Maintain robust internal control frameworks across all operations

Your Background:
Qualifications
- Chartered Accountant status (ACA, ACCA, or CIMA)
- Significant post-qualified experience
Experience
- Background within:
- A large UK-listed group, or
- A large private multi-site corporate entity
Technical Skills
- Deep practical knowledge of IFRS
- Financial control remediation expertise
Leadership
- Proven track record of leading complex reporting teams
- Experience driving financial process change
