Head of Financial Reporting

Real Estate Investment Management | London
£95,000-£110,000

We're partnering with a leading real estate investment manager to appoint an experienced Head of Financial Reporting to lead the Group's financial reporting function across its UK and European operations.

This is a fantastic opportunity to join a dynamic, growing investment business with a high-quality property portfolio and a complex international corporate structure. Reporting to the CFO, you'll play a key leadership role, owning Group reporting, technical accounting, and consolidations while partnering closely with senior stakeholders across the business.

The Role

You'll be responsible for:

  • Leading the Group financial reporting function, ensuring timely and accurate monthly, quarterly, and annual reporting.
  • Managing the consolidation of multiple UK and European entities, including complex holding structures and SPVs.
  • Preparing and reviewing IFRS consolidated financial statements and statutory accounts.
  • Acting as the business's technical IFRS expert, advising on complex accounting matters, acquisitions, restructurings, and new accounting standards.
  • Leading the year-end audit process and managing relationships with external auditors.
  • Driving continuous improvement across reporting processes, controls, and finance systems.
  • Leading and developing a high-performing financial reporting team.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
