Head of Financial Planning & Business Control

Your Opportunity

Huhtamaki currently has a fantastic opportunity for a Head of Financial Planning & Business Control to join our Foodservice segment finance team.

As the Head of Financial Planning & Business Control, you will play a pivotal role in driving the Foodservice segment’s strategic and financial performance. Acting as a trusted business partner to leadership across finance, operations, and commercial teams, you will strengthen the global business control function and help shape the future direction of the segment.

Reporting directly to the Segment VP Finance, you will lead a global team and serve as the primary point of contact for regional finance leaders and senior Group Finance stakeholders, including the Global CFO.

Where You’ll Be

Ideally you will be based at our global HQ in Espoo, Finland. However, we will also consider candidates based at one of our Foodservice sites in Europe, these include: UK & NI (Gosport, Blackburn or Belfast), Spain (Nules), Germany (Alf), Poland (Czeladz) or Netherlands (Leeuwarden).

What You’ll Be Doing

Lead the global business control organisation, including FP&A, global sales controlling, and global operations controlling Strengthen cross-functional collaboration with Sales, Commercial Excellence, Operations, Strategy, and M&A, positioning Finance as a proactive business partner Act as the central liaison for market unit finance heads and senior Group Finance leaders Serve as deputy and strategic business partner to the Segment VP Finance Work closely with Strategy and M&A to ensure alignment with the Foodservice Packaging strategy and evaluate inorganic growth opportunities Advance global business intelligence capabilities and develop modern, analytics-driven reporting Identify and drive improvements in structures, processes, and ways of working Lead initiatives to optimise working capital, including inventory, receivables, payables, and capital projects, to maximise ROI and cash flow Oversee and monitor the CAPEX process Manage and deliver key finance development projects as required

What You’ll Bring

15+ years of relevant finance experience, ideally within manufacturing and global organisations University degree in Finance, Business Administration, or equivalent Strong strategic mindset with the ability to translate vision into action Deep understanding of international business dynamics and performance management Excellent collaboration and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence at all levels Structured, motivated, and comfortable working with modern business support tools Analytical and creative problem-solving skills, with a track record of developing and implementing new concepts Strong communication skills and the ability to engage diverse finance and business stakeholders Experience leading change and driving transformation Proven leadership experience with the ability to inspire and develop teams
