The Opportunity:
A high-growth, Private Equity-backed SaaS business is seeking an exceptional Head of FP&A to lead its financial planning and analysis capability at a pivotal stage of its growth journey.
With revenues of approximately £50m, strong 20%+ EBITDA margins, and an ambitious value creation plan, the business is well positioned for its next phase of expansion. Combining continued organic growth with an active M&A strategy, the organisation is targeting a near doubling of revenue and a trebling of EBITDA over the next 2–3 years ahead of a planned exit.
Reporting directly to the CFO, this is a highly visible leadership role with significant influence across the executive team. The successful individual will take ownership of the end-to-end FP&A function, leading a small team while remaining hands-on in the detail. They will be responsible for bringing greater rigour to financial planning, performance reporting and forecasting, while delivering insightful commercial analysis that supports faster, better-informed decision making across the business.
This is an opportunity for an individual who thrives in an entrepreneurial, fast-paced environment where priorities evolve, structures continue to develop, and no two days are the same. The successful candidate will be equally comfortable building strategic relationships at Board level as they are rolling up their sleeves to improve models, challenge assumptions and drive financial discipline throughout the organisation.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
