Head of FP&A

Brighton, hybrid
Full time, permanent

At MPB, we’re transforming the way people buy, sell and trade used photography and videography equipment. As the world’s largest platform for used camera gear, we’re making kit more accessible and sustainable for creators around the world.

We’re excited to be looking for a Head of FP&A to join our Finance team in Brighton.

This is a key leadership role within MPB, responsible for leading our financial planning, forecasting, strategic analysis and performance insight capability. Reporting directly to the VP, Finance, you'll play a critical role in shaping business decisions through commercially grounded analysis, forward-looking planning and clear financial insight.

You'll work closely with senior leaders across the business, helping to connect operational performance with financial outcomes while ensuring MPB has the information, frameworks and strategic guidance needed to support sustainable growth.

This is a hands-on leadership role for someone who enjoys combining strategic thinking with execution, building high-performing teams, challenging assumptions and translating complex analysis into meaningful business outcomes.

What you'll be doing

As Head of FP&A, you'll lead the development of MPB's planning, forecasting and strategic modelling capabilities, helping the business make informed decisions about growth, investment and performance.

You'll partner closely with the VP, Finance, Head of Finance and senior stakeholders across the organisation to provide insight, challenge and financial leadership across a broad range of commercial and operational decisions.

You'll also:

  • Lead MPB's budgeting, forecasting and long-range planning processes
  • Develop planning methodologies, financial models and scenario frameworks that support effective decision-making
  • Challenge assumptions and forecasts using commercial insight, operational understanding and market context
  • Evaluate strategic initiatives, investments and business opportunities through financial modelling and analysis
  • Partner with senior stakeholders across Commercial, Operations, Product, Technology, Data and People teams
  • Support Board reporting, investor materials and strategic planning activities with clear financial narrative and insight
  • Build strong accountability and ownership across planning and forecasting processes
  • Lead, coach and develop the FP&A team, creating a culture focused on insight, curiosity and continuous improvement
  • Drive the adoption of AI-enabled and automation-led approaches across planning, reporting and analysis
  • Improve planning processes, systems and tools to increase scalability, efficiency and accuracy
  • Support enterprise-wide prioritisation and capital allocation decisions through structured financial evaluation and scenario analysis
  • Help build a more insight-led organisation where decisions are increasingly driven by data, commercial understanding and measurable outcomes

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
