Job Title: Head of Front of House

Location: Eltham

Salary: £30,000 pro rata

Part-Time details: Monday to Friday 8.00am - 2.00pm

We're looking for a proactive and organised part-time Head of Front of House to lead and manage the function from Head Office in Eltham, ensuring a consistent, professional, and high-quality reception service is delivered across all Baily Garner offices. The role is responsible for overseeing reception staff, driving standards, and improving the visitor and staff experience firm-wide.

What You'll Be Doing

  • Handle incoming calls professionally, direct them appropriately, take accurate messages, and assist with enquiries when needed.
  • Oversee the readiness of meeting rooms, hospitality arrangements, and client-facing spaces, ensuring visitors and colleagues receive a professional and welcoming experience.
  • Source suitable off-site meeting rooms, build relationships with external venues, and coordinate travel/hotel bookings as required.
  • Support the Facilities Manager with day-to-day facilities tasks and coordinating with external contractors when required.
  • Manage office stock levels, booking systems, deliveries, and post.
  • Line manage a team of two across multiple sites, providing day-to-day support, guidance, and clear expectations around presentation, behaviour, and communication standards.
  • Provide ad-hoc project-related administrative assistance to technical teams including typing, data entry, preparing presentations in line with company templates and guidelines.
  • Manage and resolve front-of-house complaints or service issues promptly and professionally.
  • Serve as the main contact for tenant-related matters.
  • Provide cover for team sickness and annual leave where possible and/or arrange cover to ensure an uninterrupted reception service.

Essential Skills/qualifications

  • Proven experience managing reception or front of house teams (ideally multi-site).
  • Strong leadership and people management skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficient computer skills e.g. Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
  • High attention to detail and commitment to service excellence.
  • Ability to manage multiple locations and priorities effectively.
  • Confidence making sound decisions where needed.
