Are you looking for a role where your work helps protect marine life across the globe? Want to lead fundraising that directly supports ocean conservation, working with a team driven by purpose and impact?

At SEA LIFE TRUST, our mission is clear, protecting marine life and aquatic habitats. Our fundraising and communications team plays a central role in making that happen. We’re now looking for a Senior Head of Global Fundraising & Communications to lead this work and drive the next phase of growth.

Reporting to the Managing Director and leading a global team, you’ll take ownership of shaping and delivering our fundraising and marketing strategy. This is a leadership role with real influence, working closely with trustees, sanctuary teams and colleagues across Merlin Entertainments to build income, strengthen partnerships and expand our global reach.

You’ll develop and deliver a clear fundraising strategy that supports both core operations and conservation projects. From corporate partnerships and major donors to trusts, foundations and individual giving, you’ll identify and progress opportunities that grow and diversify income. Alongside this, you’ll lead marketing and communications activity that builds awareness, strengthens our brand and drives engagement.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
