Liberty Atlantic Advisors

Liberty Atlantic Advisors is an international wealth management firm serving clients across the United States, United Kingdom, and Europe. We are seeking an experienced financial planning leader to build, lead, and continually enhance our global financial planning function.

This is a newly created leadership position based in London and represents an opportunity to take ownership of a core function within a growing international advisory business.

About the Role

The Head of Global Financial Planning will be responsible for the strategic direction, quality, consistency, and delivery of financial planning across the firm.

This individual will serve as the firm's subject matter expert for US financial planning while leading the development of planning standards, processes, technology, workflows, quality control, and team development.

The successful candidate will play a key role in shaping the future of financial planning at Liberty Atlantic Advisors and ensuring a consistent, high-quality client experience across multiple jurisdictions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the firm's global financial planning function
  • Serve as the internal subject matter expert for US financial and retirement planning
  • Create and review sophisticated financial plans for clients in the United States, United Kingdom, and Europe
  • Establish planning standards, best practices, and quality control procedures
  • Develop and mentor financial planning professionals
  • Support advisors in client annual reviews and planning engagements
  • Drive improvements in planning technology and operational workflows
  • Collaborate with senior leadership on the strategic development of the planning function
  • Build a scalable planning infrastructure that supports continued growth across international markets

Qualifications

  • CFP® certification (United States)
  • Minimum 5 years of US financial planning experience
  • Deep knowledge of US retirement, tax, estate, and financial planning concepts
  • Experience producing and reviewing comprehensive financial plans
  • Experience using financial planning software
  • Strong leadership and team development skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability and willingness to travel within Europe and to the United States
  • Legal ability to live and work in the United Kingdom
