Head of Global Media Relations

We are supporting the search for a Head of Global Media Relations to join a leading international organisation. This is a high-profile leadership role responsible for driving global media strategy, protecting corporate reputation, and advising senior executives on communications and engagement.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead global media relations strategy across multiple markets
  • Act as a trusted advisor to senior leadership on media and reputation matters
  • Manage high-profile announcements, media campaigns, and corporate communications
  • Lead crisis communications and reputational issue management
  • Develop messaging, briefing materials, Q&As, and media statements
  • Build and maintain relationships with key journalists, analysts, and influencers
  • Coach executives for interviews, events, and media engagements
  • Monitor media coverage and emerging issues to inform communications strategy

  • Significant experience in media relations, external communications, or journalism
  • Proven track record leading media relations for a major brand or multinational organisation
  • Strong crisis communications and reputation management expertise
  • Experience advising senior executives and managing complex stakeholder groups
  • Deep understanding of traditional, digital, and social media landscapes
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Experience within automotive, energy, industrial, technology, mobility, or similarly complex sectors is advantageous
