Marc Daniels is partnering with a highly successful international business to recruit an experienced Head of Global Payroll (12-month FTC) to take ownership of payroll operations across a complex multi-entity group. This is a fantastic opportunity for a senior payroll leader with strong experience managing international payrolls across Asia, LATAM and EMEA.
This role requires the candidate to be immediately available, as it is a 12-month FTC.
The role will suit someone who enjoys both strategic oversight and hands-on delivery in a fast-paced global environment. Similar London-based global payroll roles often combine multi-country compliance, vendor management, systems improvement and close partnership with Finance and HR.
The Role
You will lead the end-to-end global payroll function, ensuring accurate, timely and compliant payroll delivery across multiple regions. Working closely with Finance, HR and external providers, you will oversee payroll governance, reporting, controls and process improvement across the group’s international entities. The role will also involve supporting payroll transformation projects, driving standardisation and ensuring best practice across jurisdictions.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
