Head of Google
Reports to: Co-founder
Location: UK & Europe / Remote
Seniority: Senior, hands-on operator (3+ years relevant experience)
Malaberg is a DTC health and wellness company building a portfolio of supplement brands across UK and US markets. We are hiring a Head of Google to own paid acquisition across YouTube, Display, and Search. Our emphasis is on a direct response marketing model: you will be assessed on profitable new-customer acquisition at scale.
You will start on a single flagship brand and expand to additional brands as performance is proven. Designers, video editors, and copywriters are available to support you, but you will own the strategy, the execution, and the data.
What You Will Do:
- Own new-customer acquisition campaigns across YouTube, Display, Demand Gen, Shopping, and Search for an initial brand, with scope to expand.
- Build and run high-volume creative testing engines.
- Drive performance on a CPA/CAC basis. Your primary metric is profitable new customers at scale.
- Dictate campaign requirements end to end: what assets are needed, what funnels to build, what landing pages to test, and how creative and conversion strategy connect.
- Manage monthly ad budgets of at least $200,000, with full accountability for how that money converts.
- Use competitive intelligence tools (Google Ads Transparency Centre, AdBeat, Vidtao, Minea, or similar) to identify market trends, competitor creative, and new opportunities.
- Brief and direct creative output from designers, editors, and copywriters to keep the testing pipeline full.
- Build repeatable systems for creative production, testing cadence, and performance analysis, particularly for video (subdividing work across editors for audio, animation, transitions, subtitles to scale output).
- Report on campaign performance and spend efficiency so the founder can see what is working and what is not.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

Only hits
No noise. No "maybe this fits." Just roles with a clear explanation of why they're right — and where to focus when applying.
What We're Looking For:
- 3+ years of hands-on experience running Google paid acquisition campaigns. We are open to candidates with fewer years, if results and a strong growth trajectory are strong.
- Direct experience with YouTube and/or Display campaigns, not search alone. Search is a baseline; we need someone who has built and scaled brand-building formats.
- E-commerce or supplements experience is ideal. Health, wellness, or DTC supplement brands are a strong advantage. Apps or other DTC verticals are acceptable if performance results are strong.
- A track record of managing monthly budgets of at least $200,000 and producing profitable, measurable results.
- A test-and-learn mindset: you think in terms of creative volume, rapid iteration, and data-driven decisions rather than set-and-forget campaigns.
- You can show what is working, what is not, and why, without needing someone else to pull the data for you.
- You still want to be in the platform daily, building and optimising campaigns yourself. This is not a management-layer role.
