Central London | Hybrid | £110,000 to £120,000 + Bonus + Benefits

If you want a busy, varied and exciting role that will help you on your path to Finance Director then look no further!

We're partnering with a high-growth, PE-backed business looking for a Head of Group Accounting to lead the financial governance & reporting pillar of the organisation.

This is a hands-on leadership role with real breadth. You'll own the numbers, strengthen controls, lead a talented team and work closely with the CFO and wider leadership team to help build a finance function fit for the next stage of growth.

The Role!

Reporting directly to the CFO, you'll lead the Group Accounting function and take ownership of financial governance across the organisation.

You'll be responsible for:

  • Leading the month-end and year-end close process, ensuring accurate and timely reporting.
  • Owning the Group consolidation process across multiple entities.
  • Managing statutory reporting, audits, tax and regulatory compliance.
  • Overseeing treasury, cashflow forecasting and working capital management.
  • Strengthening financial controls and improving governance frameworks.
  • Leading and developing the finance team, creating a culture of accountability and continuous improvement.
  • Driving improvements to systems, reporting and finance processes.
  • Partnering with senior stakeholders across the business to support strategic initiatives and improve operational efficiency.
  • Acting as a trusted advisor to the CFO and wider leadership team.

You'll probably be operating as a Head of Group Accounting, Group Financial Controller, Head of Financial Control, Group Reporting Manager looking for a step up.

Wish List

  • ACA qualified or equivalent
  • Strong technical accounting expertise including consolidations, statutory reporting and audit.
  • Experience within a fast-paced, multi-entity environment.
  • Strong leadership skills with experience developing teams.
  • A hands-on approach and willingness to get into the detail when needed.
