Head of Health and Safety

Would you like to join a business advancing global health and sustainability through cutting-edge technologies? Are you a seasoned H&S leader with high-risk industrial experience, ready to drive impact at an innovative global company? Do you have a track record of delivering transformative safety programs and driving cultural change across a matrixed manufacturing environment?

A strategic and influential position has arisen for a Head of Health and Safety to join a world-leading organised FTSE listed group.

Reporting into executive level, with a dotted line to the Group Health & Safety Director, this role will help shape the division's approach to safety across its portfolio of market-leading brands and its extensive global network of manufacturing and sales sites.

The successful Head of Health and Safety will:

  • Bring 10+ years of health and safety leadership experience in a high-risk, industrial environment, with a background in machinery safety.
  • Have a proven track record of delivering behavioural and cultural change programmes, resulting in dramatically improved health and safety performance.
  • Demonstrate the gravitas to engage and influence at the executive level, earning trust across the organisation.
  • Be a collaborative, humble leader with strong initiative and integrity.
  • Hold relevant health and safety qualifications, ideally with or working towards CMIOSH accreditation.

In return, the successful individual will receive an attractive compensation package consisting of:

  • Competitive base salary
  • Yearly bonus of up to 20% of base salary.
  • Generous car allowance and pension contribution.
  • Flexibility to work remotely, with global travel up to 40%.
  • 25 days of annual leave, with additional volunteering and holiday closure days.
