Role Description

Competitive salary up to £65,000pa dependent on experience / 25 days holiday plus bank holidays / contributory pension scheme / discounted car parking

Reporting directly to the Chief Financial Officer, this role is working on a full-time, permanent basis.

  • Leading the HR and Staffing teams to deliver a high-quality, proactive and business-focused service
  • Acting as a trusted advisor to the Executive Team and Senior Leadership Team on workforce planning, organisational development, employee relations and change management
  • Developing and implementing people strategies covering recruitment, retention, succession planning, talent development and employee engagement
  • Ensuring HR compliance, governance, payroll oversight and effective use of people data, systems and reporting to support business decisions
  • Championing Manchester Central’s culture, values and leadership behaviours, driving initiatives that enhance performance, wellbeing and inclusion

The ideal candidate will have:

  • A minimum of five years’ experience as an HR practitioner, with a track record of progressively more responsible roles
  • Strong knowledge of UK employment law, HR best practice and managing complex employee relations and organisational change programmes
  • Experience of workforce planning, talent management, leadership development and organisational design
  • Strong commercial awareness, supported by experience of budgeting, people analytics and performance reporting
