A little bit about us
At DCC Energy GB, we're playing a leading role in the UK's energy transition.
Following DCC Plc's strategic decision to focus exclusively on its Energy business, we're focused on building a more connected, agile and sustainable organisation that supports customers, communities and businesses across Great Britain.
Through our market-leading businesses, including Flogas Britain, Certas Energy, Mobility and Energy Management Services, we deliver essential energy solutions while helping customers transition towards lower-carbon alternatives.
Safety, governance and operational excellence are at the heart of everything we do. As we continue to evolve and grow, we're looking for an experienced HSE leader to help strengthen our governance framework, enhance organisational assurance and support a culture of continuous improvement across DCC Energy GB.
What's the role?
We're looking for a Head of HSE Shared Services to provide strategic leadership and oversight of DCC Energy GB's Integrated Management Systems (IMS), HSE governance and assurance arrangements.
Reporting to the HSE Director and operating as a key member of the HSE Leadership Team, you'll play a critical role in ensuring our management systems remain effective, risk-based and aligned to legal, regulatory and industry requirements. You'll help drive continual improvement, strengthen assurance activities and provide valuable insight that supports informed decision-making at the highest levels of the organisation.
This is a highly visible leadership role that combines governance, assurance, compliance, systems management, data insight and stakeholder engagement across a complex and diverse operational environment.
What you'll be doing
Integrated Management Systems (IMS)
- Lead the ongoing development, alignment and continual improvement of DCC Energy GB's Integrated Management System.
- Ensure management systems remain aligned with legal requirements, business needs, ISO standards and industry best practice.
- Oversee governance processes for document control, competency frameworks and training requirements.
- Lead the Management Review process, providing clear insight into risks, opportunities, trends and system performance.
- Support sustainability, governance and reporting requirements through the provision of accurate HSE data and insights.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
