We're recruiting on behalf of our client, a rapidly growing, remote-first EdTech business, who are looking for an experienced Interim Head of People & Talent to join them on a 10-month maternity cover contract starting at the end of July.
This is an exciting opportunity to lead the People function within a profitable, high-growth tech business that reaches millions of users every month. You'll partner closely with the CEO and leadership team, overseeing both the strategic and operational delivery of the People agenda while helping to maintain a high-performing, people-first culture.
You must be available to start immediately.

Role Snapshot
Job Title: Interim Head of People & Talent
Location: Remote (UK-based)
Contract: 10-Month Fixed-Term Contract (Maternity Cover)
Start Date: End of July
Salary: £75,000–£90,000 pro rata + Bonus & Benefits
Key Requirements:
- Proven experience as a Head of People, Head of HR or similar senior People leadership role
- Experience within a scaling start-up, scale-up or technology business
- Strong knowledge of UK employment law, including GDPR, IR35 and employee relations
- Experience leading a People function across the full employee lifecycle
- Comfortable operating strategically whilst remaining hands-on when required
- Proven experience managing complex employee relations matters
- Experience using AI tools to improve People processes and ways of working
- Able to build strong relationships quickly and operate effectively within a remote-first environment
- Passionate about creating high-performing cultures and supporting organisational growth
