Future Industrial Services is looking for an experienced and commercially driven Head of Industrial Services to lead the safe, compliant and profitable delivery of our national industrial services operation.

About the role:

This is a high-profile senior leadership role with responsibility for more than 200 colleagues operating across multiple regions, sites and customer sectors. You will lead a team of General Managers and operational leaders, taking full accountability for operational performance, P&L delivery, customer service, regulatory compliance and sustainable business growth.

What you'll be doing

  • Leading the national Industrial Services operation, ensuring safe, compliant and consistent service delivery
  • Taking full ownership of budgets, forecasts, EBITDA, revenue and margin performance
  • Driving improvements in productivity, labour utilisation, fleet performance and asset efficiency
  • Leading complex operational projects, major outage programmes and contract mobilisations
  • Developing a detailed understanding of customers’ operations, asset portfolios and nationwide service requirements
  • Working with Commercial teams to develop tailored service solutions and long-term growth opportunities
  • Embedding a proactive culture of health, safety, wellbeing and regulatory compliance
  • Building leadership capability through coaching, succession planning and talent development
  • Using operational data to drive continuous improvement, innovation and better commercial decisions
  • Supporting acquisitions, integration activity and wider business transformation

What we are looking for:

You will be an established senior operational leader with experience gained within industrial services, hazardous waste, environmental services or another complex and highly regulated sector.

  • Proven experience leading large, geographically dispersed, multi-site operational teams
  • Full P&L accountability and strong commercial and financial acumen
  • A successful track record of improving safety, profitability, operational performance and customer service
  • The ability to translate business strategy into clear and deliverable operational plans
  • Strong leadership, influencing and stakeholder-management skills
  • Experience of driving organisational change and continuous improvement
  • A visible, collaborative and values-led leadership style
  • A full UK driving licence and flexibility to travel nationally
