About You
If you are an experienced and commercially minded analytics leader who is passionate about transforming data into meaningful business insight, we'd love to hear from you.
We are looking for a Head of Insight & Analytics to lead our analytics capability and help shape how data informs strategic decisions across McCarthy & Stone. This is an exciting opportunity to join a business with ambitious growth plans, where your expertise will directly influence performance, business planning, and future direction.
This is far more than a reporting role. You'll lead a high-performing team, champion a data-led culture, and translate complex information into clear, actionable recommendations that support better decisions at every level of the organisation.
Equally comfortable presenting to Executive and Board stakeholders as you are coaching analysts, you will know how to tell the story behind the data, answering the critical question: "So what?"
You will thrive in a fast-paced environment where priorities evolve, balancing strategic projects with business-as-usual reporting while continuously identifying opportunities to improve performance, challenge thinking, and deliver meaningful change.

Your Impact
As our Head of Insight & Analytics, you'll lead the evolution of our analytics function, ensuring insight sits at the heart of strategic decision-making across the business.
You will:
- Lead and develop our Insight & Analytics team, creating a high-performing, data-driven culture.
- Transform complex operational and commercial data into meaningful insight that drives better business decisions.
- Partner with Executive and Senior Leadership teams to influence strategy through evidence-based recommendations.
- Shape and deliver the organisation's analytics roadmap, ensuring the right insight reaches the right people at the right time.
- Develop benchmarking, forecasting, scenario modelling, and business cases that support future growth.
- Drive continuous improvement in data quality, reporting, and visualisation, ensuring trusted, robust datasets.
- Lead the development of PowerApps and digital workflows to improve data capture and reporting capability.
- Develop customer insight strategies that enhance our understanding of customer behaviour and business performance.
- Create meaningful KPI dashboards and reporting that provide clear visibility of performance across the organisation.
What we are looking for
You're an analytical leader who combines technical expertise with exceptional communication and stakeholder management skills.
You will bring:
- Significant experience leading analytics, business intelligence, or insight functions.
- Proven experience translating complex data into clear commercial recommendations and strategic insight.
- Experience influencing Executive and Board-level stakeholders through data-driven storytelling.
- Strong leadership experience, developing high-performing analytical teams.
- Excellent stakeholder management skills with the confidence to challenge thinking and influence decisions.
- Experience of business planning, forecasting, benchmarking, scenario modelling, and performance analysis.
- Strong understanding of data processing, reporting, dashboard development, and data visualisation.
- Experience working with both quantitative and qualitative datasets, including financial, operational, and customer insight.
- A passion for building data-led cultures and driving continuous improvement.
- Experience within property, housing, care, healthcare, or other customer-focused sectors would be advantageous, although not essential.
