Head of Internal Enterprise Communications

About the Role

GSK is in an exciting next phase with three key priorities: deliver growth, accelerate R&D, and simplify how we work. Internal Communications plays a vital role in engaging our global workforce to align behind these priorities—building confidence, inspiring employees about GSK’s impact, and ensuring clarity so we can focus on what matters.

As Head of Global Enterprise Internal Communications, you will lead enterprisewide internal content strategy, creation, and delivery. You will steer a team of five communications professionals through a strategic transformation: shifting to a leader-led, insight-driven approach with simplified and focused messaging. Central to this role is fostering collaboration with business leaders across GSK, actively supporting Strategic Portfolio Planning (SPP) LT and the Internal Communications LT to embed a product-centric approach.

You will thrive if you can work at pace, combine strong leadership with deep business acumen, demonstrate digital fluency, and leverage exceptional storytelling to influence and motivate teams. Influence, innovative thinking, and hands-on engagement are core to the position.

Responsibilities

You will report to the VP, Internal Communication and Global Functions and lead a team of six, with the following core responsibilities:

  • Team Leadership

    • Lead and develop a high-performing Global Enterprise Internal Communications team of six, focusing on collaboration, culture, and alignment.
    • Provide strategic focus, clarity, and direction to drive collaboration and development within the team.
  • Strategic Communication Shift

    • Lead a transformative step change in internal communications by developing focused and creative content rooted in GSK’s priorities.
    • Collaborate with the VP, Internal Communication and colleagues in Global Change and Alignment (CGA) to pivot to a leader-led communications model, simplifying content and giving senior leaders ownership.
  • Executive Partnership & Product-Centric Leadership

    • Actively participate in Strategic Portfolio Planning (SPP) conversations to amplify internal understanding and support around GSK’s product and pipeline.
    • Provide strategic counsel to shape plans, ensuring alignment with business strategy and aligning stakeholders in the program equivalent to Level 10 (LT10).

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
