Head of Investments (UK)

Location: United Kingdom, flexible

A leading UK financial services organisation is seeking an experienced investment leader to take ownership of its customer and shareholder investment strategy, overseeing a substantial multi-asset portfolio within a highly regulated environment.

This is a rare opportunity to join a well-established, acquisitive business with a strong balance sheet, significant assets under management, and a track record of sustained growth. Reporting directly to the CFO and operating as a member of the Finance Leadership Team, the successful candidate will play a pivotal role in shaping investment strategy, balance sheet optimisation, governance, sustainability initiatives, and M&A activity.

The Opportunity

The Head of Investments will be responsible for leading investment strategy across customer and shareholder assets, ensuring portfolios are optimized within agreed risk appetite while supporting broader corporate objectives.

The role combines strategic investment leadership with oversight of outsourced investment managers, asset liability management, governance, sustainability, and transaction support.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
