Head of IT Contract Recruitment
London | Hybrid Working
£60,000 - £80,000 + Bonus + Leadership Opportunity
Most recruitment leadership roles talk about “growth.”
This one is equally about developing people properly.
Permanent People are working with a global recruitment business who are looking for an experienced IT contract recruitment leader to head up and grow their London contract division.
The team already has strong foundations in place - including six recruiters and an established Practice Lead with over 10 years’ tenure - alongside a substantial network of legacy clients, candidates, and existing contractors.
This isn’t a rebuild.
It’s an opportunity to take ownership of an established, high-potential division within the global headquarters of a highly respected technology recruitment business.
The focus will be on continuing to grow the contract IT offering across areas such as Data, Software Engineering, and wider Technology, whilst also coaching, mentoring, and developing junior recruiters into high-performing consultants.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
